About Ana

With a creative and business writing background, Hays’ writing has appeared in Chicken Soup for the Adopted Soul, Walnut Creek Magazine, Sybase Magazine and other publications. She is the former columnist and associate publisher of Maui Vision Magazine. Additionally Hays has worked with and promoted best-selling author Alan Cohen, as well as inspirational authors and motivational speakers such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and Sonja Choquette.

Hays is currently the marketing communications manager for Hospice of the Valley in San Jose, California where she is directing the organizations re-branding initiative, external communications, and sponsorship and fundraising efforts to support educational program outreach.

Previously, Hays worked in academia where she led executive education programs and fund development events at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and at Stanford Law School. For Hewlett-Packard Company and Agilent Technologies she managed the internal employee volunteer fundraising campaigns raising greater than $18 million in employee/corporate contributions for a multitude of charities. During her tenure at the Chicago Historical Society, she managed four volunteer boards and their fund-raising efforts.

Additionally, Ana is an Amherst Writers & Artists Affiliate and leads creative writing workshops in Los Gatos and Menlo Park, California; at WomenCare a non-profit organization in Santa Cruz dedicated to offering a safe haven for women who are making the cancer journey; and for SPARK where she inspires students to follow their dreams of becoming a published writer.

She resides in Los Gatos, California.
